Today we'd like to introduce a guest who brought her own yukata and obi for our dressing and hair styling service 👘✨

On this day, she brought not only her yukata and obi, but also her obijime (the decorative cord tied over the obi).

Pairing a carefully chosen yukata and obi with her own obijime created an even more elegant, polished look. Being able to combine your favorite items into your own coordination is one of the joys of bringing your own yukata.

For her hairstyle, we created a mature, refined updo — a clean, elegant look that matched the mood of her yukata beautifully.

And on this day, she headed out in her yukata for a yakatabune (traditional roofed boat) cruise 🚢✨

Enjoying a summer night on a yakatabune in your favorite yukata is such a wonderful way to spend the season.

Yukata is often associated with fireworks festivals and summer matsuri, but there are so many more scenes to enjoy it in — a yakatabune cruise, a summer dinner, sightseeing around Tokyo, and more.

If you have a favorite yukata of your own, we'd love to help you create a coordination that's truly yours for a special summer outing ☺️

For Guests Bringing Their Own Yukata

You're welcome to bring your own yukata, obi, obijime, and any other items you'd like to wear.

Please also bring a koshihimo (waist cord) and 2-3 towels for padding (regular face towels are fine) to use during dressing.

Why not coordinate your favorite yukata in your own style and enjoy a special summer outing? 👘✨

At HARAJUKU KIMONO HOUSE, we also offer dressing and hair styling for yukata you bring yourself.
